FOR CALLING ASSEMBLY/SENATE OFFICES:
Hello, my name is _________________. I'm a ____ year-old youth activist with Students for Climate Action, a New York-based non-partisan climate action organization. We are 100 students strong with over a dozen chapters in New York City, Upstate New York, and on Long Island.
I'm calling to ask Assemblymember/Senator ____________ to cosponsor or support our Students for Solar Act, Bill A3446.
This bill will make it easier for school districts to pursue renewable energy, like solar and wind, in order to meet New York’s ambitious climate goals. This bill has bipartisan support and will not have any fiscal impact on taxpayers.
The current legislative ends on June 10th and we are committed to passing this bill before then. Please email us at staff@s4ca.org to let us know if the Assemblymember/Senator can support, or even better, cosponsor this bill. You can also email us with any questions, comments, or concerns.
Thank you,
