What is S4CA?
S4CA is a coalition of high school students fighting for renewable energy and climate change policies. S4CA members create chapters in their communities/high schools, which are led by a student President and Vice President, and typically meet weekly at their local public library or school.
How can I get involved?
Check out our "Find a Chapter" page to see if there are any S4CA chapters near you. If there aren't, or if you'd just like to start one on your own, contact us and we will discuss steps going forward! Our chapters are open to any high school student, not just students of that specific school!
What does an S4CA member typically do?
S4CA chapters typically meet once a week, (we encourage in-person but also an offer virtual options) and students come out of those chapter meetings with some action items to complete. Some examples include: Emailing or calling a representative, attending a climate strike, preparing for a Town Hall meeting, and posting on social media. Additionally, chapters might go to town board meetings and advocate for climate action, and develop longer-term action campaigns. Whatever specific actions S4CA members take, they are all growing their leadership skills and being a part of the solution to climate change!
